Senior Process Engineer

c£45-50k+ base with attractive benefits package

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Global Pharmaceutical organisation for an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join their team within a large purpose build manufacturing facility in Cheshire.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis with a competitive salary and benefits package. The role will provide leadership and direction for process engineering matters connected with the development, industrialisation and routine manufacture of Pharmaceutical products.

Some of the role duties will include -

* Setting of standards for process engineering in accordance with cGMP

* Direct manufacturing personnel on all process engineering issues relating to design, specification and operation of process systems

* Ensure requirements for process engineering work are correctly specified and essential deliverables identified

* Evaluate processes in development and operations and identify areas for continuous improvement, including defining any changes required

We are looking for candidates who have prior experience in a Chemical process engineering role, not necessarily from Pharmaceutical background - we welcome and will consider applications from Process Engineers from other regulated Industry sectors for this role.

Applicants will need to be able to display some of the following attributes to be considered -

* Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering subject - with some relevant professional experience in a Process Engineering role

* Ideally a Member of IChemE, or willing to work towards Chartership

* Knowledge of GMP for Chemical Manufacturing processes

* Experience of HAZOP, LOPA etc process

* Able to communicate effectively in both technical and non technical capacity

* Experience of Distributed Control Systems

* Experience with production manufacturing equipment - e.g. Pressure Vessels, Vapour Recovery Systems, Heat Exchangers or similar

* Any knowledge of Refrigeration and working with liquid propellant gases would be of great interest but not a pre-requisite

* IT literacy with good communication skills

* Able to problem solve effectively and manage a varied workload within Process Engineering
