Based in the heart of Manchester City Centre, they offer excellent exposure to cutting edge technology within a first-class office environment.  The Role   Your main responsibilities will be:This is a SQL Server Development role requiring SQL Development and DBA skills.· You will be producing high performance database systems in a highly transactional environment, utilising exceptionally large data volumes.· Within the Development DBA team, you will have opportunity to work on database development projects requiring specialist DBA skills as well as assist other development teams with SQL architecture and design.· In a dynamic organisation, successful candidates will have the opportunity to add to their strong core SQL skillset and embrace further data storage technologies such as RIAK.You will be encouraged to use your skills and knowledge to help develop others, whilst also learning form others in a collaborative environment that pushes SQL Server to the limit.  Essential SkillsEnthusiastic individual with experience of working in a technically challenging, fast paced environment.· Good Communicator.· Ability to show initiative in gathering requirements and proficiency in developing complex database solutions from informal specifications.· Experience of large transactional databases (100GB+).· Excellent TSQL.· Good knowledge of the SQL Database Engine.· Good performance tuning skills (experience of Query Tuning, Indexing, Locking etc.).Minimum 5 years' experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server  Desirable SkillsExposure to replication, SSIS and SQL Reporting Services advantageous but not essential.  Benefits5 weeks per annum plus public holidaysPrivate pension contributionGym membership  SQL DBA, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning, Indexing, Transactional DB, SQL Server
