Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer, to be based with our globally established client in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market leading organisation who are in the process of completing a data centre migration, along with a number of other projects, and are looking for a Network Engineer for on going project based support, working alongside a dynamic project team and other engineers.

The pay rate for this role will be between £325-375 per day. The start date for this role will be as soon as possible.

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer who can offer them support as they migrate to two new data centre locations, working to tight deadlines in 2019. This role will not require an engineer to build, rather provide input into the support, maintenance and BAU state of the network technologies, along with any improvements that could be made, completing design documentation along the way. Our client use a number of technologies in their networking stack, so this would suit an experienced engineer with a wide range of skills, who can consult with project managers and transfer knowledge to the rest of the team. The core technology stack includes Cisco switches and routers, Checkpoint / Fortinet Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers and also the VMware network virtualization tool - NSX

Essential Skills:

* Proven history as a Network Engineer

* Experience within a data centre and BAU environment

* Strong Cisco switching and routing experience (Nexus 7K and 9K)

* Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls, along with VMware NSX network virtualization

* F5 Load Balancing experience (GTM / LTM)

* Strong knowledge of VPN's and IPSEC
