Job Purpose The Data Architect will define, own and implement a strategic data landscape and ensure the strategic vision for data architecture is met and maintained by working with the Chief Data Officer and a range of Stakeholders including Business Managers, CRM Managers, Technical Architects, DBAs, Data Owners and Data Stewards. The Data Architect will define, develop and promote the Enterprise Data Architecture strategy that aids the organization in achieving their strategic information management goals as defined in the Rank Data Strategy. Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities Define data architecture covering technologies such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Streaming Data, Power BI, SQL, NoSQL as well as data management tools. Define standard enterprise data management and enterprise data architecture processes and deliverables. Maximize the value of information across the organization through collaboration with the business and technical architects to understand the implications of respective architectures on data architecture. Review of all major business solutions delivery projects. Drive standardization and simplification across the enterprise, lowering cost, improving quality and value of data assets. Define and own enterprise architecture for Data Warehouse, Master Data / Reference Data, integration for data and transaction processing. Govern adherence to data architecture and data processes by projects. Define, own and maintain patterns, policies and procedures for data definition, data architecture and data modelling. Design solutions and own architectural decisions for data systems and data integration. Build the enterprise conceptual and logical data models for analytics, operational and data mart structures in accordance to industry best practices. Maintain the assessment and inventory of the existing enterprise-level data environment. Design and develop a strategy for Data archiving. Knowledge, Expertise and Qualifications Demonstrate an excellent in depth understanding of the Microsoft data tools Significant experience in designing and leading the conceptual, logical and physical design for distributed databases. Excellent experience in driving Meta data architecture and Master Data Management Solutions. Excellent hands on experience in performing analysis and design for Data Management and Data Driven projects. Experience with Big Data/Hadoop/NoSQL, SQL, Visualization and reporting tools, Power BI, data profiling analysis, GDPR and transformation. Experience of Cloud Data technologies, solutions and future Cloud Data Strategies. Expertise in activities within primary discipline such as Master Data management (MDM), Metadata Management and Data Governance (DG). Consistently demonstrate strong experience in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Database architectures, design patterns, best practices, and programming techniques around relational databases. Certifications in data architecture and modelling. Computer science degree or equivalent. Ideally experience in working within a regulated gaming environment.
