About Us As the political, royal and commercial heart of London, Westminster is a borough like no other. Home to the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and industry-leading shopping opportunities in Oxford and Regent Streets, the area generates a 24/7 buzz that is quite distinct. With such gravitas comes a great responsibility to maintain and enhance this dynamic area - plus the wealth of opportunities that exist for our residents and local businesses - which is a challenge that we relish. The Role As a member of the multidisciplinary Rogue Landlords Taskforce Team, you will combine intelligence-gathering and data mining techniques with data analysis to identify landlords and agents who are flouting expected standards. In this ground-breaking team, you will therefore develop a pioneering data tool and develop new ways of managing and analysing data sets to inform our Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Housing Officers of properties and individuals that need to be investigated - thereby enabling enforcement officers to focus their efforts on the worst Landlords. About You This role is quite unique - and would therefore be well-suited to a proactive individual who is keen to positively benefit the health and wellbeing of Londoners. With a degree-level qualification that has resulted in a practical knowledge and understanding of numerical data analysis, report writing and the handling of qualitative and quantitative data, it would be beneficial if you also have an understanding of GIS systems and tools. Crucially, you will be a team-player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. What We Offer With the chance to be involved in career-defining projects, this is an opportunity that is unmatchable in terms of job satisfaction. Our people are committed to creating a good standard of life for all Westminster residents, and you will be instrumental in this challenge. You will also enjoy an exceptional work/life balance, plenty of training and development opportunities - and the full support of a friendly and charismatic team. If you're as productive as you are ambitious and collaborative as you are enterprising, this is your chance to take real ownership of your work, right in the heart of iconic Westminster, a true ‘City for All'. This is a unique place where it all happens. And where it could all happen for you. As a progressive and innovative organisation, we welcome applications from candidates keen on working in an agile environment with flexible conditions. To apply, please click the APPLY button.
