Senior Data Analyst

Our client is looking for a flexible and problem-solving data analyst to join their Data Science team. You will have an ability for manipulating and summarising data, and an intuition for detecting and diagnosing anomalies.

Day to day, you will be working across teams to make sure the best data-driven business decisions are made. You'll work closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to understand the product and operational ETLs and use a combination of SQL and business intelligence tools to distil and communicate your analysis across the company. There will be ample opportunity to contribute to and learn from the rest of the Data Team through code reviews, project discussions, and guild presentations.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst based in the London office, you’ll be the voice of data-driven business decisions by creating, maintaining and communicating summaries of e-commerce and operational data through our client’s BI platform and by educating and supporting everyone in their use of data.

- Continuously and innovatively developing the BI Platform to meet the needs of a fast-evolving start-up

- Working with colleagues to apply statistical rigour to our client’s product and operational data

- Leading the drive to evangelise the best use of data throughout the company

- Working with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure the value of data is realised

Requirements

Essential

- 3+ years’ experience with BI platforms like Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics

- Demonstrated problem solving experience working with raw/unclean data: detecting anomalies, combining data from multiple sources and applying summary statistics.

- A track record of working with new data analysis applications and gaining mastery through self-guided learning.

- Evidence of great data communication skills (including data visualization) with peers and especially non-technical colleagues

- Commercial experience that shows the ability to influence strategy by communicating which metrics and KPIs are useful / important in diverse settings

Desirable

- Experience with front- and back-end development in BI platforms.

- Experience with fashion e-commerce or fashion supply chain

- Prior knowledge of AWS Redshift, version control, or Agile software development
