Role: Economist

Location: Warwick

Rate: £400 - £500 PER DAY

Contract: 6 Months +

Role:

Our leading client requires a Economics Engineer (Economist) with experience of Regulatory Economics.

Experience Required:

*Infrastructure investment appraisal perhaps across multiple (regulated) industries

*Cost benefit analysis (familiarisation with the Treasury Green book)

*Understanding uncertainty (perhaps option valuation)

*GB Energy market modelling

*Scenario planning

*A solid background in fundamental economics (ideally power system economics)

*Familiarisation with the European energy markets / codes

*Understanding of regulatory economics

*Reviewing money used on the power network

*Making sure fundamental theories are correct

*Compare against the rest of the world

*Bringing in new ideas

*Looking at how things are done in different companies

*Looking at how things are done in different sectors

*Desirable knowledge of Energy Sector

*Cost benefit analysis

*Investment appraisal

*External consultation - need an economic viewpoint on

*Mainly looking at power network but opportunities to work on small projects also

Project Focus:

*Ensuring our methodologies/processes will withstand external scrutiny

*Providing guidance on economic theory and best practice

*Responding to external consultations in this arena

*Providing thought leadership on economic issues.
