Linux Systems Engineer - Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey.The company
A software solutions company who provide mission critical systems to telecoms, banking, and aerospace industries. They are currently looking for a Linux Systems Engineer with strong Linux, LAMP, MySQL and Networking knowledge.
The role
In this role will see you will provide 3rd party customers with installation and engineering support related to my client's software and hardware solutions. It will also involve a high level of interaction with other systems engineers and also will require some client site visits.
Essential skills:Installation of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP)Setup of network hardware (routers, VPNs etc...)System deployment onto Linux/LAMP environmentsSystems monitoring and configurationNetworking and routing skillsRelease ManagementMentoring/training of 3rd party staffDesirable skills:ITIL process knowledgeAbility to write technical documentation to high levelExposure to PostgreSQL would be advantageousThis is a great opportunity to join a leading organisation and progress your career as a Systems engineer in a leading organisation.
