In this role you will be responsible to design, test, maintain and improve software used to collect, store, manipulate and visualise large amounts of data in a scalable cloud environment. This role is a 'Hands on' position where you will be involved in Backend cloud infrastructure development whilst technically leading 9 other experienced engineers. Opportunities will be available to progress into a technically hands on people manager where you will be at strategic level.

Here is the perfect opportunity for a senor, lead or hands of architect looking for longer term progression into a head of role whilst in the short term building a system from scratch.

The role:

* Lead Software engineer (Hands on)

* Design, test, maintain, improve, software used to store, manipulate and visualise Big Data

* AWS / Google Cloud environment

* Well backed start-up environment

* Cloud Programming in cloud environment

* Lead a team of 9 (Front, back and full stack, test, Devs)

* Build architecture from blueprint stage

*Agile environment

* Lots of technical autonomy

*Progression available into Senior management / Hand of role down the line.

The Person:

*Experience in IoT or Big data or Cloud Programming (Python)

*Experience in AWS, Google cloud, or similar (Ideally AWS IoT, google IoT)

*Able to scale up platforms and improve them

*Able to work from conceptual stage to completion

*Aware of the challenges with Big data

*Hands on and looking for people management and strategy longer term (Head of)

*Looking to work within an ambitious and innovative tech start-up

*Looking to progress technically and experience new technology
