FPGA Engineer required to join an international company who brings innovative technology to the field of voice and data satellite communications, offering mobile connectivity that is affordable, portable and easy to use.

As FPGA Engineer Remote Sensing you will have to:

Be part of the R&D team, you will be developing software, firmware and hardware for low cost voice and data satellites

Be responsible for FPGA/VHDL related contents for implementation and developments

Prepare technical documentation including test procedures, design specifications and engineering change notices

Shape future projects and enabling technologies

To be considered for FPGA Engineer you will need to:

Have proven experience in the FPGA design using Verilog/VHDL

Have proven experience with creating applications with C/C++

Have experience with embedded C code development (preferably as Xilinx embedded processors such as Microblaze /ARM)

Have experience or working understanding of creating embedded software that will interact with a real-time operating system

Have lab experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering iron, power supplies etc

Have experience with hardware trouble shooting

Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop software and firmware and hardware

Preferred skills:

Experience with Xilinx Zynq/Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale FPGA family

Experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGA family

Experience with GTX receivers, multi gigabit signaling and 8B/10B encoding

Experience with schematic PCB design involving FPGA’s
