HR Director - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - London - Competitive Salary + Excellent benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Director to join an established team within a globally recognised blue-chip organisation.

This position is a 12 month Maternity Cover based in Canary Wharf.

The role:

* Provide thought leadership, insights, guidance and support for senior business and HR leaders in support of driving a wider agenda around organization effectiveness and performance, cultural, change management, and employee engagement.

* Partner with business and HR leaders to effectively assess and diagnose organizational effectiveness and business change issues, and identify appropriate interventions

* Partner with business and HR leaders to design and deliver inventive OD/OE solutions aligned to strategic imperatives and priorities that help to optimize and enhance organizational effectiveness and performance.

* Take a data driven approach and use a variety of data points, trends and patterns to influence business decisions and identify organizational effectiveness and improvement priorities.

* Provide change management consulting and support to ensure effective implementation, including design/facilitation, action planning, metrics and reporting.

* Develop and implement change strategies to ensure the successful implementation of large-scale initiatives (e.g. operating model, organizational design and process changes) impacting multiple levels of stakeholders throughout the organization.

* Identify, track and analyze metrics to measure organizational effectiveness solutions and change programs.

* Act as organization development and effectiveness consultant and expert to business and HR leaders, providing practical and flexible frameworks, tools, thought leadership and coaching to help build out the capabilities of the HR team.

Required Skills:

* Deep understanding of organizational design approaches which should include leveraging workforce planning and design led thinking.

* Significant experience gained operating in fast changing, disruptive sectors bringing an understanding of how digital technology plays a key role in transforming businesses.

* Significant experience of operational effectiveness and transformation. Should be well versed in model design methodologies aimed to drive efficiency and simplicity that drive real and lasting outcomes.

* Understands how to design and facilitate senior level interventions to help leadership teams to improve their effectiveness to execute their strategic goals.

* Deep understanding of change practices; has owned the implementation of change management across previous organizations to include embedding change, assessing the readiness for change and assessing the impact of change initiatives.

* Highly analytic and data driven. Uses data and insights to drive decision making and action.

* Experience of working with senior business and HR leaders clearly demonstrating an ability to engage, influence and challenge strategically and commercially with key stakeholders around key issues.

* Proven track record in leading and managing multiple competing work streams.

* Adept at operating within a global matrixed environment, and leading through influence.

* Has ideally experienced organizational change through a merger and/ or de-merger situation.

* Clear and collaborative, focused and results driven.

* Comfortable with ambiguity and able to operate in a fast moving environment.
