Business Analyst - rolling contract - ASAP start

Key requirements

The Agile Business Analyst works as part of a customer team of Product Owner, Service Designers, User Experience Designers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) assigned by the sponsoring business unit. The main aims of the role are to:

* Work with Service Designers and User Experience Designers under the guidance of the Product Owner to develop a thorough understanding of the service roadmap

* Work with the Product Owner to establish and maintain a prioritized backlog of requirements and to identify the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

* Manage the backlog using a structure agreed with the Product Owner

* Develop testable hypotheses to validate service design options and to inform the requirements gathering and elicitation process

* Help identify user candidates for hypothesis validation and to support user acceptance testing of solutions

* Manage and run requirements workshops with user communities, suppliers and other key stakeholders to identify and refine requirements and delivery options

* Facilitate workshops and design sessions to elicit requirements with team members, delivery partners and key stakeholders using a lean (just in time) approach

* Work with the Product Owner, User Experience Designers to develop User Stories using INVEST principles, business rules, non-functional requirements and any other assets required by the development team

* Support the Product Owner throughout the delivery process by attending stand-ups, clarifying requirements with delivery teams and validating test results

Person specification

* Experience of providing business analysis support in Agile delivery environments, preferable with exposure to both Scrum and Scrumban

* A confident communicator and presenter with significant experience running workshops and design sessions to gather requirements and develop possible design solutions using well developed influencing skills

* Use of process modelling and mapping, user journeys, personas, Epic plans and User Stories in developing and communicating well-rounded requirements

* Adept at providing the interface between business and technical stakeholders with an ability to bridge the language gap between the two

* Analytical ability to define relative business value and delivery and service management cost

* Experience of Agile, user centred and client focused DevOps environments
