The client is expanding its Azure solution portfolio and developing offerings that accelerate the digital transformation of our clients. We are looking for an expert-level Azure engineer to develop managed PaaS offerings. You will work hands-on as a member of the Azure build engineering team and be responsible for the development, implementation and enhancement of the client’s managed Azure offerings. Your managed Azure PaaS solutions will run in both the Azure Public Cloud and in the Microsoft Azure Stack hybrid cloud environment.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader that can envisage, architect and implement a managed container solution that integrates service mesh constructs, microservice architecture, API and service fabric services and third-party container management services. Your solution will effectively leverage native Azure application and container management features. These services will be deployed in the context of a continuous integration/continuous delivery toolchain that the client may only partially manage. You will provide architectural and design input to the larger team and help our Product Management understand the benefits and risks of proposed technical solutions.

You will also support design to delivery tasks to ensure that our colleagues in the clients’ Azure Cloud Operations team can successfully implement and operate the solutions you have built.

Requirements

Experienced in the deployment, configuration and operation of Azure public cloud services (MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification, other relevant Azure certifications or equivalent experience)

Experienced in the deployment, configuration and operation of Azure container services, microservices and related environments (service fabric, event hub, API gateway, loadbalancers, web application firewalls).

Experienced in the deployment, configuration and management of Red Hat Openshift and/or Kubernetes (Helm, Tiller, Istio etc.) and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Experienced in the migration of applications from a conventional datacenter environment to an Azure environment

Experience with Azure DevOps services (formerly VSTS) or equivalent (CI/CD) Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery orchestration frameworks and supporting technologies (i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory).

Development of service health and performance monitoring using services such as OMS, Application Insights or equivalent container monitoring solutions (Grafana, Solarwinds)

Proficient with Azure event grid/event hub, Azure Functions and LogicApps to implement microservices and PaaS monitoring solutions

Expertise in building private cloud services and the integration of private cloud services into existing datacenter and enterprise networks

Author design and operational documents that describe the design, installation and operation of the managed services.

Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver scalable enterprise solutions combining various Azure services (network, identity, compute, database, storage etc.) with legacy technologies and/or traditional on-premises environments

Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions on-time, to scope and within budget

Pure agile and scrum methodology. No hybrid, follow the pure methodology - master owner, all certified. Would need to be comfortable in that environment, can bring on board anyone and put them through training pipeline but previous experience in that environment would be a plus.
