A world-leading chip developer within the Automotive sector is looking for a Senior Physical Design Engineer to join their Edinburgh design team.

This company is an expanding, multinational mixed-signal IC design organisation with huge growth plans for the coming years and a very strong, long-term upward trajectory. They are currently looking for a Senior Physical Design Engineer to take ownership of the physical implementation of the main digital block for their mixed-signal chip; this will involve defining physical and timing constraints, defining test requirements, and performing synthesis and Place & Route.

Needed for this position are the following:

- A technical degree in Electronic Engineer / Computer Science or related field

- Several years' experience working within digital physical design, with a strong handle on:

o RTL synthesis

o Floor planning

o STA (Static Timing Analysis)

o CTS (Clock Tree Synthesis)

o Timing closure and formal verification

- Experience using Cadence tools would be beneficial, however Synopsys also considered

- TCL / perl scripting skills
