Lead Applications Architect- London- 10 months.

Security Clearance required.

The client needs a decisive senior architect to lead a multi-skilled team delivering a core SOA capability to the UK Government. Providing both technology and people leadership is key, managing the team day to day as well as looking after the architecture and design elements of the solution. The team are so popular, they are regularly involved in wider initiatives such as building prototypes, facilitating demonstrations and helping to further the clients (and their customers) technical roadmap, involving investigative work into a range of new technologies on the way.

Day to day life would include:

* Leading delivery and strategy of the solution from architecture to support:

* Including applications currently running on the solution, such as enterprise search.

* Leading expansion of the solution portfolio by adding further applications as needed.

* Leading stakeholder engagement, demos and prototyping to support this objective.

* Creating and maintaining design, requirements and support artefacts, models and docs.

* Providing technical consultancy on SOA and ESB technologies.

* Leading change and new business, working with customers to capture new requirements.

* Driving the team to keep up to date with new technologies.

* Driving the team, project and business unit's strategy and technology

* Driving the solution roadmap, defining the strategic approach for the solution.

* Assisting 4th line support to live as the SME for the entire solution.
