Test Manager Agile

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with both project and business managers to build and deliver a robust quality assurance model for complex technology and business change projects.

The role of the test manager will be to ensure that the delivery of project deliverables are of the highest possible quality and defect free. Validating the system, processes and interfaces meet the carefully constructed business requirements and pass quality assurance gateway criteria. Testing will be required to cover, functional, non-functional and extensive variation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Agree suitability of business requirement documentation for quality assurance purposes

Delivery of the Test Strategy, approach and planning

Estimates of testing effort

Responsible for the delivery of the Test Workstream

Production of detailed Test Plans

Allocation and co-ordination of test resources (including business users and environments)

Appropriate identification and implementation of automated testing solutions

End of Test phase reporting

Stakeholder management

Defect logging and tracking - engagement with 3rd party suppliers to resolve quality issues and system defects

Skills / Experience Required:

Extensive Test Management in a systems development environment

Experience of working with both agile and waterfall methodologies

Evidence of complex stakeholder engagement and governance

Extensive evidence of Test Requirements definition and design

Extensive experience of the management of Test Case Development and management.

Knowledge and experience Test Data preparation and control

Test Execution and Results logging

Defect Analysis & Reporting

Interface testing and component based solutions

Automated test tools and planning

Management of testing teams

Use of quality assurance methods to refine and promote high quality deliverables across technology led programmes

Candidates should be able to demonstrate one of test lead or test analysis experience within agile / iterative development teams

Experience of working with Product Owners to identify and confirm acceptance criteria and test scenarios from user stories

Experience of working with Jira

Experience of working with test management plugins to jira would be advantageous

Experience of working alongside developers to identify test scenarios required for automation
