Portfolio Planner
Portfolio Planner / Change Management / Project Management / Programme Management
My nationally recognised client based is looking for a Portfolio Planner to join their growing Change team at their head office in Warwickshire.
The Portfolio Planner will develop and implement the planning framework, tools, processes and systems for successful project delivery across the portfolio. You will also support project sponsors during inception activity by working closely with the project teams to develop their high level plans.
Key responsibilities:
*Standards Development ; design, maintain, embed planning and dependency management across the Portfolio
*Support inception activity for new projects and programmes
*Support planning activity for new and in-flight projects and programmes
*Assure the implementation of standards by projects and programmes
*Evaluate changes to project management practices and initiate improvement to organisation practices
*Management and optimisation of portfolio level plan.
*Incorporating lessons learnt and feedback from PPM professionals to further optimise standards
*Subject matter expert on the use of planning tools, techniques and standards, training PPM professionals as required.
Key skills and experience:
*Experience at a senior level in a Project and Programme Management (PPM) environment.
*Extensive experience of planning and strategic dependency management, developed and implemented standards, tools, processes and systems for successful project delivery.
*An understanding of Project Management Frameworks, with experience in management, planning or delivery of large projects throughout the project lifecycle.
*Working knowledge of investment programme and project controls and a strong knowledge of earned value management, plus milestone and key performance indicator reporting.
*An understanding of Agile planning practices.
*Relevant qualification e.g. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or Prince 2.
