DV Network Analyst (CCNA, Cisco, Firewall, Wireless) - London / Basingstoke - 12+ Months

My client, a large technology consultancy are looking for a Network Analyst to join them on a large Defence project based in London with occasional travel to Basingstoke. The position will be shift work paid at an hourly rate and the client are aiming to have someone on site for February.

Role Background:

* The successful candidate will be responsible for the on going support of a large Defence customer with BAU in order to maintain the availability and security of service.

* You will also be expected to get involved in a number of implementation and ad hoc projects so you will be communicating with a range of customer and client stakeholders.

* You will be working on a 24/7 shift pattern and will be monitoring and managing the customer network including initial incident diagnosis and the pro-active management of alarms.

Required Skills:

* The client is looking for candidates who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge around Networks and the associated technologies including Cisco and Juniper.

* Ideally candidates will be CCNA certified.

* Experience of Encryptors, WAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching is also of interest.

* A solid understanding of network implementation project work is also essential as well as an understanding of ITIL processes.

* Candidates should also be able to display a working knowledge of ISDN, VPN, Broadband solutions.

* Experience of Network Management, Security and configuration would also be beneficial.

* Candidates should also hold an active DV clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
