The opportunity
We have a new job opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Tester to join our friendly IT Test team and contribute to the testing service for the whole organisation. You'll work closely with project managers, business analysts, user representatives,internal and third party technical teams in varied areas of BHF to plan, design, manage, execute and report on manual and automated tests.
This role will be involved in the whole testing cycle, but will have a particular emphasis on coordinating and supporting user acceptance testing for some key platforms, including Windows 10, Office 365 and 2019, property management and security applications. You'll be involved in creating, using and maintaining test products (e.g. test cases, test scripts, test reports, test plans, etc.) measuring and improving the quality of the software being tested. You'll work closely and liaise with key project stakeholders, with varying levels of technical skill.
About you
You'll have a solid grasp of underlying software engineering principles and techniques and extensive experience of testing IT applications. Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite, including Windows 10, Office, SharePoint, Dynamics etc, you'll have excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex business and technical processes to a non-technical user group.
Experienced in writing test plans and test scripts to a high standard you will be proactive, able to use your initiative and work closely with key project stakeholders. You'll have previous experience of working on a variety of projects with knowledge of modern methodologies, systems and architectures.
