Software Developer - Leeds, UK

I am currently working with a client who are proud to help people and businesses transform their performance through learning. They offer a range of business and IT Training courses from apprentice level up to Business Leaders.

They have training centres throughout the UK and deliver an exceptionally broad training curriculum to meet the needs of individuals and corporate businesses.

The Role…

You will be reporting to the Development Team Leader and you will work with the applications and database support team to meet the key business strategies and objectives.

You will also provide support for application systems and solutions ensuring that incidents are dealt with in an accurate and timely fashion.

You will also be required to work as part of the team to provide C#, MVC, ASP.NET and SQL Development services and support the existing business solutions and technologies.

Key Responsibilities…

* Complete bug fixes and development enhancements.

* Provide support for application systems and solutions.

* Comply and adhere to the documented quality standards and methods for development.

* Gain and in-depth knowledge of the companies key business database.

About You…

In order to be successful for this role you need to be…

* Highly skilled in C# Development.

* Highly skilled in ASP.NET and MVC Development.

* Skilled in Transact SQL.

* Able to analyse and troubleshoot existing applications.

Experience…

* MVC C# Development

* NET C# Development

* Microsoft SQL development, SQL support or a similar role.

* Hands on experience with SQL 2010/SQL 2012

* Experience in data analysis and reporting.

* Experience in creating and maintaining MS SQL DTS or SSIS packages.

If you have a knowledge of the following it would be advantageous…

* Expert knowledge in transactional SQL, stored procedures, views and user defined functions.

* Good knowledge of .NET platform development.
