We are looking for Software Business Analyst to start a Greenfield project within a very successful, stable and progressive software house based in Watford.
Act initially as the lead Business Application Analyst in a brand new development project to produce a new module to fit into the company's already successful software platform. On completion of the project, the role will then extend to include similar responsibilities with regard to other development projects with continued ongoing specialist responsibility for the projects you complete.
Key Responsibilities:
Through a thorough understanding and personal experience of the entire Software Development Life Cycle, help to ensure the smooth running of application development process for the new product
Work within the Development department alongside the application Development and QA teams
Participate in the process of evaluation of competitors' products in order to assess key functionality and requirements
Produce designs for development of the new module, in particular the creation of business requirements and other more detailed specifications (including UIs), related technical documentation and involvement in client-facing discussions to clearly evaluate requirements
Play a full part in the management of the project, including scrum and sprint meetings.
Skills and Experience Required:
The ability to understand, analyse and interpret business process requirements and to turn those requirements into meaningful specifications
A thorough understanding and experience of the entire Software Development Life Cycle
Experience in the design, development and use of web business applications
A good understanding of relational database management systems, especially Microsoft SQL Server
An understanding of the accountancy sector and particularly tax department workflows and processes would be a distinct advantage
Personality:

Ability to deal with different internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and superior grasp of both spoken and written English
