Structural/Steelwork Design Engineer

Birmingham, West Midlands

£40,000 - £44,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Company Benefits

Are you an experienced Structural Design Engineer looking for a unique role within and industry leading and expanding company where you will directly impact the success of company projects?

On offer is an opportunity to play a vital role helping drive the business forward and continue in its success where you will have the opportunity to progress further.

The company undertake a variety of Mechanical Handling and Conveyor projects including special purpose built machinery. They are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join the business where you will have a key role in structural steelwork designs to support materials handling installations into a range of blue chip clients.

This would suit someone with relevant Structural Steelwork experience looking for a unique and varied role working on bespoke high end projects.

The Role:

- Going to customer sites, understand their requirements then carrying out structural designs to allow the company to install high value conveyor and materials handling systems

- Calculation and design of steel structures in accordance with all the legal standards associated with steel design (Eurocode 3 / BS5950 etc.)

- Mostly office based but with occasional travel to blue chip client sites

The Person:

- Structural Steelwork design experience

- Tekla experience highly advantageous but not essential

- Confident in leading and delivering first class projects and take pride on the work that you deliver

- Looking to be the go-to-man within a hugely successful and expanding company
