IT Category Manager
Norwich OR York

A multinational clients is looking for an IT Category Manager to join their Group procurement function. Our clients Group Procurement function is responsible for leading their indirect third party to spend in accordance with the company strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work to maximise value through the associated spend and end-to-end commercial management
* Managing and mitigating supply chain risk
* Management of suppliers within a specific category to achieve contracted levels of performance in order to benefit delivery to the client
* Analysing and improving the several functions to ensure a complete strategy and plan is executed
* Working with the relevant business area to set a strategy for the category
* Responsible for the management of all the allocated category and sub-category spend for the client as well as focusing on driving performance and commercial benefit from supply chain
* Reporting to the Principal Category Manager you will be required to look after your category, be a proactive team member and support your colleagues where possible
Essential Skills & experience:
* IT experience in a similar role is essential to this position specifically in Network Telecommunications or Outsources IT Services
* Demonstrable experience of building strong internal and external relationships at all levels and strong commercial experience
* Proven experience of delivering Commercial, SRM OR Category Management within an intricate and demanding environment
* Management and handling of complex sourcing processed
* Able to multitask and effectively prioritise a varied and demanding workload
* Degree level education or MCIPS qualification
