Automation Test Engineer

So, it's the end of the week and you are probably leaving work on Friday relieved to be finished for 2 days of peace. But, before you know it, it's Sunday evening and the Monday dread is setting in. Perhaps, it is time to consider a change. You've come to the right place.

I have, for you, an opportunity with a leading consultancy company, with a global footprint. There is a huge range of variety in the projects that they have access to and this really is a role that will broaden your experience in different sectors. My client specialise in public sector projects but they also have projects in a variety of sectors ranging from the FinTech through to the Automotive industry.

My client are famed for the career progression and industry leading self-development programme that they offer. This is because, on average, there is between £10K-£15K worth of training budget allocated to each individual to pursue certifications in core technologies. Alternatively, this money can be spent on courses for soft skills such as management or public speaking, for example, which can allow you to take your career in a number of different directions.

Now, we move onto the role itself. Your main focus of the role will be to produce approaches surrounding Automation as the base and to produce Automation Test Scripts and to embed, run, maintain automated tests prescribed within Automation Test Frameworks. In terms of your senior you will report to a manager or a lead.

What can you bring to my client? Naturally, there is some main criteria but don't be put off if you can't fill this. As mentioned, there are fantastic training opportunities within this role. The main criteria is as follows:

* Experience in Automation testing.

* Experience with tools such as SoapUI, Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber etc…

* Experience with test management and defect management tools.

* Experience with programmes such as C, C#, Java, Python etc…

Logistically, this is a UK Wide role and you should be prepared to travel as such. This will typically entail working 4 days onsite and one day remote from home. In terms of salary there is a range of £55000 through to £100000 and a generous expenses policy on top. The expenses policy entails free train travel where required and accommodation provided close to client bases. On top of this is a £30 a day allowance on food and drink on an AMEX card.
