Senior Java Developer| Cheshire

This organisation are looking to recruit a skilled Java Engineer with a background developing Java in an agile environment. This role is based in their HQ offices in Cheshire and offers you the chance to work alongside passionate and talented developers.

This position will involve working on one of the organisation's flagship applications, maintaining the existing technology stack as well as developing a range of new features in order to produce market-leading applications.

Your role will involve working across the full Software Development Lifecycle with a chief focus on coding standards and ensuring quality is consistently maintained in order to produce second-to-none products. Using cutting-edge tech, these enterprise projects will definitely be something you can take pride in.

As for the tech you will be utilising, it is beneficial to have a strong understanding and experience of the following:

* Excellent programming experience in Java (versions 7 and 8).

* Experience with APIs (RESTful, SOAP).

* Experience with Spring and hibernate.

* Some front-end knowledge (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).

* Understanding of microservices.

* Understanding of methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.

* Good knowledge of SQL or Oracle.

* Experience working with Hadoop.

* Experience of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
