System Support Analyst - Bournemouth - £25,000 DOE

Spring Technology is seeking a System Support Analyst to join one of our Global Insurance clients in Bournemouth. You will be supporting the wider team by providing technical and administrative support on some of the systems they use to operate their worldwide organisation.

Your typical day could be investigating and resolving any issues that the business brings to our attention, finding a fix or making sure that system failures don't happen again.

You will have deep understanding across Acturis, TCAS, Stingray, CDL, OpenTWINS, Quotex, IBA & Global XB and report your findings to the business. You will concentrate on CDL initially, so any expertise in this area would be of benefit (CDL Classic, WP, Prescribe, CEDS, Strata)

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

*Can you identify and resolve issues with applications whilst carrying out agreed applications maintenance and systems administration tasks?

*We require someone to ensure that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures, for this, you will use your superb communication skills.

*Part of your role will involve investigating needs, problems, and opportunities. What can you recommend that will improve our organisation?

*Work closely with the business to establish requirements for new or amended systems

*Design, code, test, correct and document small changes to large and/or complex programs and program modifications from specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result

*Take part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work

*Provide advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required

*Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and the organisations shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business

Person Specification:

*Minimum bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems Management

*Knowledge of good quality processes including ITIL, code review, unit test, coding standards, appropriate documentation. Understanding, analysis & interpretation of Data with Specific Technical Application Development skills in one or more languages.

*Experience of working in a similar role within a rapidly changing environment

*Effective Communication, explaining technical information to non-technical people, able to self-motivate and manage workload effectively.

*Great customer service whilst being technically competent across multiple platforms. The ability to lead research and triage of complex problems, tactical and strategic solutions.

*Supports and encourages change and adapts positively to changing priorities and work demands

*Learns and shares knowledge with others willingly

*Close attention to detail / accuracy

*Eligible to work in the UK
