Responsibilities:

*Developing a new, digital by default, technical environment and commensurate digital services to all of the organisation's stakeholders.

*Support and development of fit for purpose, corporate support systems and services to allow the organisation's teams to deliver their strategic outcomes.

*Communication, support and leadership in all digital and technical disciplines.

*Impact assessment of new Digital Services and systems.

*Research and development as appropriate.

Experience with the following:

*Experience of testing web applications including aspects such as multi-browser, accessibility, regression and usability testing

*Proficiency in software testing techniques, testing tools, incident/defect tracking systems and other test-support tools.

*Experience working as part of an agile software delivery team

*Knowledge of .Net stack application development

*Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with MS SQL Server databases

*Experience in investigating issues and gathering information to aid fault resolution.

*Ability to identify areas of risk and execute focused test effort accordingly

*Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

*A structured and methodical approach to testing activities

*Ability to apply software testing techniques such as mind maps & test session notes

*Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact well with both technical and non-technical individuals and groups

*Excellent critical thinking skills

*Strong exploratory testing experience using test charters to focus test sessions.

*ISTQB certification or equivalent (or working towards) is desirable.

*Rapid Software Testing course attendance is desirable.
