I am currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to be based within East Midlands area on a 6 month contract for an urgent requirement.

RATE: £27 - £30 per hour

Purpose of the Position: A Design engineer who can provide functional, robust and ergonomic mechanical designs from marketing specifications and provide technical solutions to engineering problems within the development.

This engineer would be responsible for producing 3D models and all manufacturing documentation to support the design, including 2D component drawings, assembly drawings, specifications and bills of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

* Experience working within the food industry designing Conveyors

* 3D and component design exploiting sound engineering principles using Solid Works CAD package.

* Production of manufacturing documents (drawings, specs etc)

* Administration of CAD and PDM system

* Conduct feasibility & tolerance analysis for all mechanical designs.
