About the role

We require a leading Test Automation Engineer to deliver high quality test solutions for our organisation.

We are looking for either a Senior or Expert Test Automation Engineer. As a Senior engineer you will be working within a Scrum team acting as a quality assurance champion. As an Expert engineer you will combine working within a scrum team with championing an expertise in another area of testing (e.g. security, performance, BDD) across the organisation.

Senior Test Automation Engineer:
                    Excellent knowledge of C# or Java
                    Experience of writing automated tests
                    Experience in BDD and TDD ways of working
                    Working knowledge of automated test frameworks such as Cucumber, RestAssured, Selenium
                    Experience of working within a scrum team delivering in an Agile way
                    Knowledge of DevOps tooling desired but not essential (e.g. Git, Docker, Jenkins)

Expert Test Automation Engineer:
                    As for Senior Test Automation Engineer, and also:
                    Able to demonstrate strong expertise in a specific area of testing
                    Experience of implementing test frameworks in an organisation

Both Roles
You will be challenged to:
                    Ensure software developed by the Scrum team meets the original acceptance criteria
                    Use your test skills to provide fast feedback to the team
                    Implement automated tests when possible.
                    Ensure that the right level of automation is applied to each project
                    Maintain automated test suites
                    Debug CI processes
                    Use manual exploratory test techniques where automation is not needed or cannot be applied

oAble to demonstrate extensive experience of delivering professional software testing services within an Agile Framework. (This would include experience of a wide range of testing techniques such as bdd, automated and risk-based testing.
