The role
As Technical Delivery manager, you’ll build, maintain and motivate a dedicated team who design, build and run government digital services. You’ll facilitate collaboration, communication and focus within the team, coach its members, and ensure its continuous improvement by applying appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Leading and motivating multiple multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring they deliver products and services that meet users’ needs
-Using recognised agile practices to ensure teams clearly communicate progress
-Identifying people, skills and resources required for agreed goals
-Identifying risks, issues, dependencies and blockers
-Actively participating in the Delivery Manager community,
-Working in other government departments to support the delivery of priority EU exit digital services
About you
You’re an advocate for Agile and Lean tools and techniques. Your deep knowledge means you can coach members of your own team and beyond, keeping them up-to-date with the latest trends. As an expert communicator, you can switch easily between the technical and non-technical, so people throughout the organisation understand the context.
You take a continuous approach to planning, which means you can unblock problems and solve issues. You drive teams, set the pace and make sure they deliver - while maintaining a healthy, collaborative and open environment.
