The role
As Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high-risk products and services, while coaching and mentoring others within the team. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Delivering products and services to meet end-user needs
-Utilising recognised agile practices to ensure the delivery team clearly communicate progress
-Providing report data to the portfolio and senior management team
-Identifying people, skills and resources required to deliver on agreed goals
-Identifying and communicating risks, issues, dependencies and blockers to appropriate managers and teams
-Managing a diverse profile of stakeholders of different abilities
-Actively participating in the Delivery Manager community within BEIS, and with external partners including the wider Civil Service
About you
You’re an advocate for Agile and Lean tools and techniques, and you take a continuous approach to planning, which means you can unblock problems and solve issues.
You drive teams, set the pace and make sure everyone delivers - while maintaining a healthy, collaborative and open environment.
Ultimately, you make the process work. You’re focused, influential and make a positive difference by communicating effectively across technical, political and organisational boundaries.
