Faculty / Directorate

The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising reputation management; brand development and oversight; recruitment campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; schools and colleges engagement; enquiry management and follow up; internal communications; media relations; design and publications development; Faculty marketing and recruitment; web and digital development; and market insight.

Role

Reporting to the Web and Digital Designer/Developer, this new role supports the delivery of marketing and student recruitment activities as part of the Web and Digital team within the Marketing and Communications Directorate. You will support the Web and Digital team in scoping, designing, building and maintaining new and existing digital experiences, content templates and objects. You will provide support to the Web and Digital team as it creates, publishes, monitors and improves content and user journeys on dmu.ac.uk and its digital platforms. You will help ensure the technical build, integrity and scalability of new functions and experiences is optimal, and enables the university to achieve its objectives.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in supporting the scoping, building and maintenance of digital products and websites, including using languages and technologies such as HTML 5, CSS, .NET, JavaScript/JQuery, PHP, WordPress, and MySQL. This role would suit candidates seeking to increase their experience of working with enterprise-level digital products and services, and in the support of teams planning the delivery of innovative digital developments. This is a new role, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to join a web and digital team at an exciting point in the development of its digital future.
