Faculty / Directorate

The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university, comprising reputation management; brand development and oversight; recruitment campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; schools and colleges engagement; enquiry management and follow up; internal communications; media relations; design and publications development; Faculty marketing and recruitment; web and digital development; and market insight.

Role

The post is fixed term for twelve months.

Reporting to the Web and Digital Manager, this fixed-term role manages the day-to-day enhancement and maintenance of DMU content, including sourcing, creating and editing content using the Contensis content management system. The post-holder will plan the creation and publication of timely, appropriate and effective content across digital channels - primarily aimed at attracting new student applications, but supporting a full range of corporate web content requirements. The role ensures quality control for digital content, including DMU's adherence to accessibility and usability standards. This varied role offers content management system user support and mentoring for colleagues; ensures quality assurance of content; that accessibility standards are maintained, and that SEO improvements and priorities are delivered.

Ideal Candidate

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent qualifications or experience, this role would suit an individual with specific interest and demonstrable skills in the creation, publication and management of high-quality digital content and user journeys. The role requires an organised, focussed and creative approach to content management, alongside an appreciation of the way enterprise-level content needs to perform and be managed.
