Faculty / Directorate

The Marketing and Communications Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the University, comprising reputation management; brand development and oversight; recruitment campaigns; CRM and conversion campaigns; schools and colleges engagement; enquiry management and follow up; internal communications; media relations; design and publications development; Faculty marketing and recruitment; web and digital development; and market insight.

Role

Reporting to the Web and Digital Manager, the role leads on the scoping and planning of multimedia project briefs’ delivery, and the creation of industry-leading video and content

.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications Directorate, particularly with the domestic student recruitment, faculty marketing, content, news, internal communications, and international marketing teams. The role is responsible for the delivery of institution-wide marketing and recruitment multimedia content in order to meet recruitment targets.

You will manage three Multimedia Officers, and act as the creative lead for multimedia aspects of the Web and Digital team’s delivery. This is a key role, supporting and mentoring DMU colleagues to develop high impact and effective content.

Ideal Candidate

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent qualifications or experience, this role would suit an individual with specific interest and demonstrable skills in the production of high quality, innovative and effective multimedia content.

The role requires a conceptual understanding of digital multimedia, the ability to make timely decisions about how content creation activities will be performed, and an acute ability to deliver compelling content. The role combines managerial, operational and production skills with a focus on developing colleagues’ understanding of, and ability to produce creative and effective multimedia content.
