IT Applications Trainer

About the Role?

At Babcock Marine an IT Applications Trainer is required reporting into the IT Training Manager you will be responsible for delivering solutions to the entire Marine enterprise including the customer. Products span the solution space from database applications through to big data and analytics.

As an IT Applications Trainer, reporting into the IT Training Manager you will be responsible for delivering solutions to the entire Marine enterprise including the customer. Products span the solution space from database applications through to big data and analytics.

Your role will involve:

* Preparing and delivering training courses

* Deliver training in various forms i.e. 121, classroom or floor walking

* Preparing and delivering user documentation

* Support user acceptance testing

* Training administration

* Work with Stakeholders to help improve training and day to day use of applications

What do I need to do the role?

Proven experience as an IT Trainer, Technical Trainer or similar role delivering training courses across Bespoke and COTS Packages. Type of applications are web based with a strong database backend.

* Experience in designing course materials, Good business and technical authoring skills

* Develop effective training and user documentation

* Proficient Computer Skills - MS Office Suite

* Familiarity with web-based learning platforms

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical terms to groups with a range of learning abilities

* Experience of working with all levels of stakeholders across a range of locations

Desirable Skills

Previous Training experience delivered within the MOD/Defence Industry

What else do I need to know?

* The role is based in Keynsham, Bristol

* Extensive Travel is required across the UK to deliver training and floor walking support

* Full UK Driving Licence is required

* Successful candidates will be required to obtain appropriate clearance for this role, SC Clearance.

* You must also be eligible to access and handle ITAR data.
