My Telecoms client who is based in London is looking for a BI Consultant to support them on an initial 3 month contract with the potential to extend.

You will be accountable for design, testing and delivery of multiple Business Improvement Activities

Contributing to in year financial and service plans, operational effectiveness, customer experience, and end to end process, removing the cost of failure and reducing costs.

Advocates and effects change by influencing decision makers and persuading operational people to adopt different working practices.

Manages a small team of business improvement professionals to support the identification of improvement areas, defines solutions, test through proof of concept and pilot stages and ultimately sign-off delivery of an approved solution.

Produces and provides the data and information to help secure capex budget to invest in new systems or technology. At a time of considerable change for FND and Openreach the requirement for complex, integrated, end-to-end process improvement, solution design and system development is extremely high, and has significant impact on the long-term fitness and success of FND, through helping driving operational efficiency, service improvement and unit cost reduction. Impact is primarily short to mid term, but would develop plans to improve long term-measured performance.

Acting as an ambassador of Business Improvement he/she influences operational people by adopting different working practices, by closely involving them in the development of Business Improvement activity and enabling them to implement and sustain the changes.

Experience needed:

Producing and delivering robust, data-driven analysis, clear solution design, rigorous testing and compelling business cases that sets a standard for high quality, deliverable transformation work

Qualified to degree level or equivalent. ?

Experience in writing business cases and/or advocating for adoption of transformation / change programmes ?

Experience in process improvement, RCA, process definition and solution design

Experienced in the disciplines of process management, consultancy, relationship management, and team building ?

Proven influencing and stakeholder management skills ?

Experience leading and managing a team to deliver business outcomes ?

Experience working in multi-discipline and matrix teams with a high degree of variability and ambiguity

What you'll be doing:

Deliver on all aspects of strategic improvement/change initiatives/ discovery activity in a defined functional area of FND, or in cross-business processes ? Undertake high-level insightful analysis to design and manage business improvement initiatives that deliver defined business outcomes. ?

Develop and deliver solutions, test through proof of concept and pilot stages and ultimately sign-off delivery of an approved solution, including providing the information required to secure capex investment where required ?

Deliver key business improvement and change programmes linked directly to the business strategy, including management of junior team members ?

Produce analysis that will lead to the identification of programmes/ major change initiatives. ?

Ensure that the appropriate business improvement skills are used. ?

Ensuring your delivery of BI programmes is in a standard and consistent approach to developing transformation solutions, following the appropriate gating and governance as defined by the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) ?

Using BI tools and process in support of improvement initiatives into BNO. ?

To maintain an excellent relationship with key internal/ external stakeholders and suppliers as appropriate. ?

To manage a team of BI specialists. ?

Ensuring the use of Business Improvement methods and tools. ?

To communicate the BI approach in a compelling, inspiring and interesting way using real case study examples.
