The role

A fantastic opportunity with a heavily backed start-up company has arisen as they seek to grow their software development function and explore new R&D ventures. They are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work on join the team developing technology solutions for their partners.

The successful applicant will be responsible for capturing and transforming business requirements into technical solutions. You will be required to run workshops with both internal and external stakeholders and at times, demonstrate and present products and solutions to clients and customers.

The role has a technical slant with the successful applicant being able to analyse and understand APIs for interfacing with third party systems and being aware of the impact to host software. Such third party systems will range from payment gateways, reservation systems, operations systems, insurance services and service booking systems.

There are other smaller projects being run concurrent to this which may require analysis and therefore you will be comfortable working in a hybrid guise.

About you

The person we seek must have the skills below but just as important is the ability to be positive, adaptable, have a can-do attitude, be pro-active and communicate clearly with a variety of fellow employees and external teams.

You must be adaptable to different situations, have a level head and be resilient for this challenging role. You must be able to work autonomously and be comfortable occasionally working alone.

Key skills and responsibilities

* 5+ years working in commercial IT software development as a Business Analyst

* Airline or Airport experience (or extensive travel experience)

* E-Commerce / Aggregator Experience

* Management of 3rd party relationships

* Experience writing User Stories, Use Cases & UML diagrams

* Experience working in an agile environment

* Great communication skills

* Attention to detail

* Ability to adapt within a changing environment

* Requirements gathering

* Internal & external stakeholder management
