Junior Software Developer / Java Developer (Mathematics / Science / Modelling PhD). Market leading software house that supplies advanced process simulation, modelling and optimisation software for the process industries (power, biochemical and pharmaceutical) is seeking a "scientifically minded" Junior Software Developer to join their expanding team in West London.

Joining an Agile development team as a Junior Software Developer you will work across the full development lifecycle to design and develop new features and enhancements to improve a very complex integrated modelling user interface as well as maintaining and improving numerical solvers and high-performance computer algorithms at the brink of science and engineering knowledge. You'll be participating in weekly Sprints and will be continually learning and improving your skills.

Requirements:

*Excellent academics - min 2.1 degree, good Mathematics

*Commercial Java development skills

*Familiar with modern software development practices such as Agile, TDD, Continuous Integration systems
