Health and Safety Officer

The main function of this job is to provide support and advice in relation to the management of Health & Safety in line with regulatory requirements and company standards. You will also provide support for all QUENSH department activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Health and Safety Officer role, hold the OSH qualification (ideally NEBOSH General Certificate) and Auditing .

The role:

*Hands on Health & Safety support in relation to all Health & Safety matters in the workplace

*Provide assistance to the Health & Safety Director

*Continually monitor and identify improvements regarding safety arrangements

*Carry out safety inspections and risk assessments to develop accident prevention strategies

*Develop and present Health and Safety Training

*Undertake regular internal audits

*Promote maintain and improve Quality systems

*Support the Health & Safety Director with legislative Environmental issues

The person:

*Minimum requirement IOSH qualification (ideally NEBOSH General Certificate)

*Experience of working in a Health & Safety role in a manufacturing environment

*Auditing experience and working with ISO accredited Quality and Environmental Management Systems

*Proficient in IT
