Senior BI Developer required for a financial company based in Cheltenham paying up to £50k!
A fantastic company based in Cheltenham operating in the finance sector is looking to introduce a senior BI developer into their data team.
The role
You will lead the development of the data warehouse, OLAP and other BI solutions that underpin analytics within this company. You will make an active contribution to the evaluation of BI and development tools as well as establishing standards and best practices. As well as this, you will be directly involved in creating a greenfield SQL 2017 Data Warehouse solution and preparing it for migration to MS Azure.
Your specific responsibilities include:
- Defining, developing and reviewing ETL processes, data warehouse and OLAP solutions.
- Building dashboards and reports using SSRS, Power BI and Tableau.
- Defining the standards for the data warehouse and BI Development.
- Support the day-to-day running of the data warehouse and BI applications.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of quality assurance standards and processes as well as the improvement of release processes.

You
To be the right fit for this role you should have the following experience:
- Strong data warehouse development skills using T-SQL and SSIS.
- Experience designing and building cubes using SSAS.
- Experience in dimensional modelling.
- Experience building front end BI applications using reporting and visualisation tools including SSRS and Power BI / Tableau.
- Experience in data profiling to identify data quality issues.
- Experience working with MS Azure.
You should also be educated to degree level or equivalent as well as being highly numerate with a strong attention to detail.
