Access Developer (ETL tool) - London - Initial 3 months

Access Developer (ETL tool) to join a multinational telecommunications company based in London on an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend.

About the role:

The client is currently using an Access ETL tool which is used to produce inputs for their key cost allocation system (Cost Perform). They therefore need an Access Developer to fix outstanding bugs and add some new functionality requirements and support the system.

The ideal candidate will have Access programming skills and will have worked in an Accounting environment.

Mandatory Skills:

In order to succeed in this role you will need the following skills:

* Excellent Access and VBA development skills

* High level of skill in Microsoft Excel

* Experience delivering finance systems transformation

* Experience of gathering systems requirements

* Good communication skills

Desirable

* Previous Key Cost Allocation System (Cost Perform) experience

* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or relevant technical experience

* Exposure to coding languages

* Telecoms industry experience

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

* Working with the SMEs to fix any known bugs, develop new functionality and generally support the system.

* Developing new systems to support IT transformation which is currently in progress.

* Identifying and capturing requirements, monitoring progress, developing new functionalities

* Coordinating the testing of new functionality

* Driving systems and process improvement

* Assisting in costs and benefits analysis as directed by the project lead

* Assisting the business case and governance process for changes to systems and processes

* Ensuring that appropriate system controls and governance support robust, accurate and timely financial reporting
