The Role

As a Senior Application Analyst, you’ll be responsible for resolving application issues and providing in-depth technical support to colleagues across the organisation. You’ll regularly be configuring, scripting and maintaining applications, whilst also testing any new software upgrades. You’ll also play an active role in undertaking any projects and work as a team to analyse, define and implement interfaces between business applications to provide integrated solutions for Council Systems.

You’ll be working in a fast paced environment, you’ll need strong stakeholder management skills as you’ll be contributing to the implementation of a new integrated HR, Finance system and other applications working with a range of officers to ensure this is rolled out effectively. Alongside this, you’ll provide on-going technical maintenance and usage support in order to maintain their reliability and deliver business benefits.

About you

We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience providing technical support for HR and Finance Systems, preferably Oracle Cloud/EBS ERP, and the ability to grasp new technical systems quickly and effectively.

You’ll also be familiar with application management, support, change management and its practical application in a large organisation, alongside knowledge of HR and Finance Systems.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations is key to the role as you’ll be providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to a range of users. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of good IT practice and procedures in relation to the support of cloud solutions, networks, operating systems and upgrades.

This will be a challenging role as you’ll need to manage conflicting deadlines whilst working as a team to deliver a first class user experience.
