The Role
We’re looking for 3 Application Analysts to provide user support and technical assistance, investigating and resolving problems reported by users of HR, Financial applications and other applications. You’ll take personal responsibility for one of the following areas; data management/ establishment control, application controls and Corporate Business Systems, or general application maintenance.
You’ll regularly undertake business analysis as well as assisting with upgrades and installations of applications. You’ll also play an active role updating relevant documentation to a clear design specification, using standard approaches and techniques to ensure compliance across the Council.
You’ll be working in a fast paced environment so you’ll need strong communication skills as you’ll be contributing to the implementation of a new integrated HR and Finance system and working with a range of officers to ensure this is rolled out effectively. Alongside this, you’ll provide on-going technical maintenance and usage support in order to maintain their reliability and deliver business benefits.
About you
We’re looking for candidates with a range of experience including; systems administration, upgrades, fault resolution, environment management. Alternatively, you’ll have a BSc in a relevant discipline to demonstrate your industry knowledge.
You’ll also be familiar with application management and support, as well as confidently undertaking analysis of business and technical processes and solutions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations is key to the role as you’ll be providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to a range of users. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of good IT practice and procedures in relation to the support of cloud solutions.
This will be a challenging role as you’ll need to manage conflicting deadlines whilst working as a team to deliver a first class user experience.
