Infrastructure Team Lead
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Microsoft-focused Infrastructure Team Lead to join a leading software business in Bedford. In this role, the successful Infrastructure Team Lead will be responsible for the team supporting the predominantly Windows-based infrastructure that is used to deliver hosted services to a range of customers, ensuring system availability is maintained at the highest level, as well as having the opportunity to input into future design and build of the environment.
Working as an Infrastructure Team Lead, your role will include:
* Leading and prioritising the team's work load, alongside coaching, mentoring and development of team members.
* Optimising availability and performance of servers.
* Planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes.
* Providing input into administering and maintaining all production and internal environments
* Proactively monitoring platform logs and metrics to identify issues, performance improvement opportunities and feeding into capacity planning.
* Examining potential areas for Service Improvement and raising proposals.
To be considered for the Infrastructure Team Lead, you will need to demonstrate:
* Previous team leadership experience.
* Extensive experience with Windows Server, including AD, DNS, DHCP etc.
* Scripting skills in PowerShell or VBScript.
* MS SQL Server and IIS experience (desirable).
* Working knowledge of MS Azure (highly desirable)
