My client is looking for a PMO that have embarked on a programme to select and implement a modern ERP system to bring its back office systems up to date.Role Summary
Scoping and implementing a PMO specification/design that meets the programme's needs - remit and purposeEstablishing the PMO - structure, processes, tools, roles and responsibilities, governance, reportingProviding a framework, tools and templates, underpinned by appropriate PPM methodologyDefining the standards and processes that projects work toEstablishing appropriate governance / reporting mechanisms that ensure controlSupporting, advising and educating the programme to work effectively with the PMOHolding the programme view (plan, budget, risks, etc) and reporting that to senior levelLeading in the identification and effective management of stakeholders, including leadership and senior managementSkills required/desired:
PMO Lead/Manager track record in establishing and leading PMOs that have supported significant technology-enabled change programmes (ideally including ERP experience ).Hands-on knowledge setting up and running a PMO, using best practice to define standards and processes and establish the appropriate governance and reporting mechanismsExcellent stakeholder management skills and knowledge working closely with business and project leadersKnowledge of programme management principles, methodologies and tools, ideally with a relevant accreditation / certification (e.g. MSP)The flexibility to work on client site for the days/duration requiredPracticalities
Interim role - 6 months full timeBased at least 3-4 days per week on client site (on outskirts of west London, near Uxbridge, Hayes etc)
