The Infrastructure department are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join this exciting and vital part of the company at their offices in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.
You will be joining a team who are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all server assets across the estate. The role encompasses a number of different elements, ensuring that you will gain a broad knowledge of the server hardware and operating systems that underpin the business.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Completing operating systems and firmware driver patching cycles in line with agreed maintenance schedules.
*
Assisting with administration and troubleshooting including liaising with engineering teams, assisting with break
fix issues.
*
Maintaining system compliance through patching cycles.
*
Completing BAU activities including day to day availability of the maintenance platforms.
*
Hardware break fix support including route cause analysis and liaising with vendor support
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
*
Linux - RHEL 6/7/CentOS
*
Windows - 2008, 2012, 2016
*
Troubleshooting of Dell and HPe hardware
*
Basic understanding of the following:
o Networking
o Active Directory
o Shavlik
o RedHat Satellite Server 6 GUIo HP/Dell Hardware
o VMWare
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
*
Experience of working in a busy infrastructure function.
*
Troubleshooting server hardware to establish route cause.
*
Understanding of Automation Concepts - Python/PowerShell.
*
Ability to complete basic scripting.
*
Network concepts and troubleshooting.
*
Experience troubleshooting operating systems and automation scripts.
