You will be responsible for:

*Bespoke Development and programming of the Telematics Devices optimizing functionality.

*Innovation, Design, Development and maintenance of diagnostics tools for the Telematics device.

*Maintaining the Clients Estate of 60k plus Devices ensuring correctly updated to the latest Firmware Versions.

*Working closely with the IT Team to ensure the correct communications protocols and messaging Formats from Device to Platform.

*Maintaining Bespoke Device Manager Tools.

*Hardware Communications and security.

*Creating functional and technical specifications for new project deliverables.

*Test Plans and Procedures.

*Input into specification and delivery of ongoing improvements for the full end to end Telematics solution

*Maintaining Technical Knowledge and Documentation.

*Execution of Trials with 3rd Party Suppliers.

*Demonstrate Technical Excellence to Motor Manufactures.

Knowledge

Experience

*Proven experience in professional engineering in either GSM/GPS/Telematics or Computer engineering.

*Understanding of vehicle to cloud connectivity via: APN, VPN, TCP/IP UDP stack, etc.

*PEG (proprietary), Java, VB, C#, C, C++ is desirable.

*Exposure to hardware interfaces and configuration development.

*Good understanding of Cellular modems, phone apps, and associated technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE). Serial interfaces (RS-232) Applications experience.

*Beneficial to have knowledge of in-vehicle networking protocols (SAE J1850, ISO 9141, ISO 15765 CAN OBD) over a wide range of vehicles.

*Candidates are required to have a flexible approach, willingness to adapt to the changing needs in supporting the resolution of technical issues.

*Testing and troubleshooting at all levels including experienced in debugging embedded Hardware
