Our client is dedicated to global peacebuilding and are looking for an exceptional Head of IT, who combines a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.

They are a growing organisation with a new five-year strategy. Robust business systems and IT infrastructure are at the core of their ability to achieve their ambitions.

Position: Head of IT

Salary: 57,070 + excellent benefits

Location: London

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week), flexible working arrangements can be agreed

About the role:

Working closely with senior colleagues, the Head of IT will design and deliver an IT strategy, which offers maximum impact for a limited budget

Reporting directly to the COO, The Head of IT will be responsible for planning annual IT priorities, developing, communicating and implementing organisational IT policies and procedures and ensuring the organisation is equipped with IT infrastructure and business systems which support organisational strategy.

As the Head of IT, you will manage one IT assistant and outsourced contractors and consultants in the UK and overseas. You will build strong relationships and work closely with the management team, providing senior level IT advice and information to guide the strategic and operational decision-making of the board and senior management.

About you:

You will have significant experience within a IT leadership role, with a successful track record of managing IT strategy, infrastructure and strategic business systems.

Above all else you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence a variety of non-technical stakeholders and drive organisational change. You will be capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment, delivering results and effectively dealing with difficult situations.

Ideally you be degree educated and will hold a recognised Project Management qualification, such as Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent.
