Do you have experience in software testing? Our client is currently seeking a Technical Software Tester to provide assurance that their various software systems are fit for purpose and free from defects.

Position: Technical Software Tester

Location: East Molesey, Surrey.

Salary: 33,238 per annum

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week.

About the role of the Software Tester:

As a Technical Software Tester, you will be responsible for completing standard test tasks, such as creating test plans and writing test scripts from functional requirements. You will administer Automaton test tool and maintain and run automated test scripts on identified key systems.

You will record and monitor detailed metrics to track the progress and outcomes of the testing process and will communicate progress at regular intervals. You will report and escalate issues to internal customers and the software supplier. You will keep track of known issues to identify trends so that fixes can be targeted to specific areas of functionality.

Future projects may include a new ticketing system website and there is also scope for this role to develop the use of automation tools for testing within the organisation.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent within a Science or IT related field, with experience of working on a project, testing an application from requirement to delivery and will have extensive knowledge of software testing.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will complement your analytical skills and your ability to think logically. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, both alongside your team and on your own. Basic knowledge of SQL and test automaton is also essential
