Location: Cheshire, Manchester

I am working closely with one of the UK's leading utility companies and they are seeking a proactive IT Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. If you have successfully managed IT operations systems using cloud based platforms and you are ready for your next career move in the Manchester area, then this might be the opportunity for you. You would be involved in the technical implementation of their infrastructure and responsible for business development and service management.

Requirements

* IT Infrastructure background

* ITIL

* Strong managerial skills

* Project management experience and skills - Prince 2 qualification would be beneficial

* Comfortable liaising with stakeholders, installation teams, clients and suppliers

* Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

* Knowledge of electrical systems and the electricity grid

* Previous experience working within a similar role ideally within telecommunications or renewables/utilities

Responsibilities

* Technical implementation and support of the company's mechanical Infrastructure

* Design and implementation of services, strategy and processes including Incident, Problem, Service level and Supplier Management

* Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for clients, using a cloud based operation platform for remote diagnostics, preventative maintenance and software and firmware updates

* Provide network reports on usage to clients with data analytics

* Provide admin for clients with queries on accounts, issuing RFID cards, online payment related issues (Stripe)

* Managing 3rd party suppliers and developers to deliver fit for purpose energy management infrastructure software (SaaS)
